I'm having trouble posting here so this is a placeholder for a full post. Hopefully a minimal post will get through.
I tried to update to the Strings software today. It seemed to work fine with the Easy Uploaded, but I got almost no sound out of it - headphone output seem to work though. It also seems to sound a bit strange and quite unlike what I expected (completely different to the YouTube video).

I also tried various other software:
* Acyclotron: rather quiet output, behaves weirdly
* Atmegadrum(s): seem to work, but output doesn't seem to be quite as loud as stock Atmegatron. Presets are - weird?
