I just received a Atmegatron that was a store demo unit.  Everything's working great, but there's something rattling inside -- a loose screw or other bit of metal perhaps.  Are there internal screws or something that might not have been tightened?  Should I just go ahead and open the back and check things out?

Yup, open it up.  Just the 4 screws on the back.  My guess is that it's a nut that's fallen off a micro-pillar (the bit that holds the PCB to the case).  There's 6 micro-pillars so you could just take the nut out and it'll probably be fine.  If you're OK to put it back with some pliers, that would be best if possible.
